| Imagine for a moment that a Hollywood studio acquired the rights to produce a FANTASTIC FOUR live-action motion picture in the mid 1960s. Who would have been cast in the four starring roles? I'll come up with my choices for Ben Grimm and Johnny Storm in a future post but for now, I submit that the couple pictured above would have been perfect. Carl Betz as Reed Richards and Donna Reed as Sue Storm. Whaddaya think? |

ReplyDeleteI had Russell Johnson (Prof. from Gilligan's Island) and Tuesday Weld in my imaginary Fantastic Four movie from the '60's. Vic Morrow (Combat) as Ben Grimm and pop idol Bobby Dee as the Torch.
ReplyDeleteI think a lot of people would immediately chose Russell (The Professor) Johnson as Reed Richards and that's not a bad choice at all. After all, it was good enough for Alex Ross in MARVELS. For years, I pictured actor Robert Lansing in the role but I happened across a still from the old DONNA REED SHOW the other day and it hit me like a ton of bricks that Carl Betz and Donna Reed made the perfect Reed and Sue.
