I thoroughly enjoyed seeing PLAYGROUND SUPERHERO this morning. It's the new production from the award-winning Pollyanna Theatre Company. The show is running at the Rollins Studio Theatre at the Long Center. There are three shows tomorrow (Saturday, Oct. 13th) at 11:00, 2:00 and 4:00 p.m. and a matinee at 2:00 on Sunday, Oct. 14th followed by a "meet-the-cast" party afterwards. You can make your reservations by calling 512-743-7966. For more information about Pollyanna Theatre Company, go to www.pollyannatheatrecompany.org.
The play is written by Andrew Perry and it's the second of his original scripts to be produced by Pollyanna. PLAYGROUND SUPERHERO deals with the very real issue of bullying in a way that is both dramatic and humorous. It's wonderfully written, skillfully acted by the Pollyanna Players and brilliantly directed by my wife, Judy Matetzschk-Campbell.
PLAYGROUND SUPERHERO is aimed at students in grades 2-5 but adults will enjoy it as well. Come see this great new play this weekend. I guarantee you'll enjoy it.
Oh, and don't worry about parking at the Long Center. Free parking is available in the service lot. Come on down!
